SPC - a small wasp with a big message

On Friday, as I prepared for shut-down day, the concept of a computer-free day filled me with apprehension and I wondered if I would suffer withdrawal symptoms. It turned out to be a wonderful, almost liberating, thing to do and so I decided to extend it a little bit. The fact that spring has arrived with a bang has definitely spurred me on, and acted as an incentive to keep me from sitting inside.

Coming back from this little hiatus feels almost like starting afresh, which is why I thought it was appropriate to post this photo (which has been photoshopped) of a very young wasp. And I would like the child I was then to act as a reminder to live in the moment, to be mindful, and to have an open mind - a beginner's mind.

I need to do this. And you were such a cute baby wasp goddess in the making.

I'm curious...when you say wasp, do you mean the insect? (there's an alternate meaning in the US.)

The shut-down day passed me by - I didn't even know about it. But I have been shutting my computer down at different times during the day, to force myself to do something else. Wonderful baby wasp photo!

Thank you all for your comments while I was "away". I'd definitely recommend taking a blogging breather every so often, it feels really good to be back.

Bearette, my name means wasp in Polish and goddess in Swedish. But I don't really sting... (although some people may disagree):)

thought i didn't shut down, i did spend about 90% of my weekend outside enjoying the signs of spring and the rush of sunlight ... i thought of you, knowing you had shut down and were out there living under the same sun :)

here's to breathing in deeply and living in the moment little wasp :)
