"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."EpicurusThanks to Concetta for reminding me of these words.
Pause for thought
Oh ... I so needed this little quote this morning. Smile ... talk about timing!Would you mind if I borrow it for my blog and actually - do you mind if I add your blog to my links?Take care and enjoy Monday!
I too found this quote a little godsend this morning (I found it on http://petitmaison.blogspot.com), so please go ahead, let's spread the "postiveness".Please do link, that is more than welcome :) (I have already linked to you).Have a lovely Monday.
beautiful quote, thank you for sharing and reminding :)
What a great thought. It's easy to have winters of discontent for me, so this is definitely appropriate.P.S. My company is hiring out in San Francisco, if you're in the mood for a new city... :)
I need to write this quote down...definitely something I should remember. Thanks for sharing!
So true. I like Buddhism, and it reminds you not to get caught up in the cycle of "I-want", because once you get what you want, you'll only want something else. It's freeing to detach from it :)
The quote is a pefect follow-up to earlier post about "if only." Recently a friend of mine told me about a book called "The Power of Now" which is basically about being happy in the present, which seems to be in the same spirit as the quote.
p.s. I added you to my links as well.
Oh wow...this is beautiful!!!!
Excellent quote and lovely photo -thank you!
I liked that. Thank you.
I was stressing over paint color in my new house but this was just the reminder I needed. Thanks!
