Pause for thought

"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."
Epicurus

Thanks to Concetta for reminding me of these words.

Oh ... I so needed this little quote this morning. Smile ... talk about timing!

Would you mind if I borrow it for my blog and actually - do you mind if I add your blog to my links?

Take care and enjoy Monday!

I too found this quote a little godsend this morning (I found it on http://petitmaison.blogspot.com), so please go ahead, let's spread the "postiveness".

Please do link, that is more than welcome :) (I have already linked to you).

Have a lovely Monday.

What a great thought. It's easy to have winters of discontent for me, so this is definitely appropriate.

P.S. My company is hiring out in San Francisco, if you're in the mood for a new city... :)

I need to write this quote down...definitely something I should remember. Thanks for sharing!

So true. I like Buddhism, and it reminds you not to get caught up in the cycle of "I-want", because once you get what you want, you'll only want something else. It's freeing to detach from it :)

The quote is a pefect follow-up to earlier post about "if only." Recently a friend of mine told me about a book called "The Power of Now" which is basically about being happy in the present, which seems to be in the same spirit as the quote.
