SPC: liberation

Here I am. No make-up, goofy teeth, not so great nose... it's amazing how free I'm feeling. When I started blogging I had no idea what the purpose of it was, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would pour my heart out in the way I have. Talk about catharsis. I have admitted to feelings and fears online that I had never even fully admitted to myself before.

I didn't think it was possible to be this open and also show my face. The two seemed mutually exclusive. But I have come across so many fearless and inspiring people in the last few months that this concern seems completely irrelevant now. So here I am. Warts and all.

I don't see warts at all, what I see is a beautiful face with an amazing smile, sweetly shaped nose and a beautiful face. I love how joyful this self portrait is.

Sei bellissima! Isn't it liberating to show yourself to the world? I love having a face to place with words as lovely as yours always are :)

It's a beautiful picture and I think you look radiant. Seriously. I feel the same way about blogging. I hated having my picture taken, and while I still don't like speaking in public - at least I have a way to communicate... and there actually are pictures to serve as proof that I lived on this planet. I really wanted that when I had my daughter.

Yay for liberation!! Congrats to you!

It IS liberating. You know what else is great? When you have the opportunity to meet some of the people who know you from your blog, and know that you don't have to put on a mask or try to be somebody better than yourself because they already know you, warts and all ;) - they know you, your inner thoughts which are so much easier to write about than to talk about - they know all that, and they still love you.

You are beautiful. You had absolutely nothing to be afraid of.

I quite like your warts!

Someday I'll post an actual picture of my bum. Boy. That'll be cathartic!

Tee hee!

Keep on blogging! XOXO

Are you kidding? Your nose is totally cute!

I know what you mean though -- it's so easy to see faults in ourselves that are nearly invisible to others. Still though, this is a really pretty shot.

You're very cute.

I LOVE your neck.

Mine is fat and beginning to get the dreaded turkey wattle.

Enjoy your beautiful neck while you can.

Celebrate that face! Beauty is exactly that, an individual and unique look. You have it all. You have joy.
I failed to see the impossible hair?
Pretty is Barbie/P Hilton-- nobody intelligent wants to be that.

Stunning, isn't it, that what you might not say to your closest friends, you can write to (theoretically)thousands of strangers.
And..
You are really lovely.
It's a beautiful photo of a beautiful face.
